Welcome to Holistic Quality

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Holistic Quality ecosystem, including CHISPA, ALETHE, Geodesic Nexus, Frequency, and HQ Institute (collectively, "Services").

Important: By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our Services.

1. Who Can Use Our Services

Age Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use most of our Services
• For CHISPA (dating), you must be 18 or older
• For Frequency (messaging), you must be 16 or older

Account Responsibility

• You're responsible for your account security
• Don't share your password
• Let us know immediately if your account is compromised
• One person, one account (no fake accounts)

Your Content Belongs to You

You retain all rights to content you create or post. We don't claim ownership. Period.

License You Grant Us

When you post content on our Services, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and display your content to provide the service
• Share it with others you choose to share it with
• Make backups for reliability

This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Our Intellectual Property

Our platforms, code, design, and trademarks are ours. You can use our Services, but you can't copy, modify, or redistribute our technology without permission.

4. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is critical. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data.

Key point: We're not in the data-selling business. Your data is yours, and we treat it with respect.

5. Platform-Specific Terms

CHISPA (Dating)

• Must be 18+ to use
• No solicitation or commercial activity
• Authentic profiles only (no catfishing)
• Respectful interactions required

ALETHE (Mental Health)

• Not a substitute for professional medical advice
• If you're in crisis, please contact emergency services
• Your health data is encrypted and private

Geodesic Nexus (Consulting/Apps)

• Consulting agreements are separate contracts
• App-specific terms apply (SafePetNex, MowNex, etc.)
• Not a substitute for professional veterinary/legal advice

Frequency (Messaging)

• End-to-end encrypted (we can't read your messages)
• No spam or mass messaging
• You're responsible for who you communicate with

HQ Institute (Research/Education)

• Research participation is always opt-in
• Certifications require completing program requirements
• Educational content is for informational purposes

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Paid Services

Some features require payment (CHISPA Pro, ALETHE Pro, etc.):

• Prices are clearly displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew (you can cancel anytime)
• Refunds available within 30 days (at our discretion)
• We use Stripe for payment processing

Cancellations

Cancel anytime from your account settings. No hidden fees, no dark patterns.

7. Service Availability & Changes

Beta & Changes

We're building in public. Services may change as we improve them:

• Features may be added, modified, or removed
• We'll notify you of major changes
• Beta features may be unstable (we'll mark them clearly)
• We may discontinue services (with reasonable notice)

Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but stuff happens. We're not liable for:

• Temporary outages (maintenance, technical issues)
• Service interruptions beyond our control
• Data loss (back up important stuff!)

8. Termination

You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account from settings. No questions asked (though we'd love feedback).

We May Suspend or Terminate Accounts

If you violate these Terms, we may:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend your account
• Permanently ban you (for serious violations)

We'll tell you why (unless legally prohibited) and give you a chance to appeal.

9. Disclaimers & Liability

No Warranties

Services are provided "as is." We don't guarantee:

• Perfect reliability or uptime
• That you'll meet your soulmate on CHISPA
• That ALETHE will cure mental health issues
• Error-free operation

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business
• Actions of other users

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $100, whichever is greater).

10. Disputes & Governing Law

Arbitration

If we can't resolve a dispute, we agree to binding arbitration (not court). Exceptions: small claims court or injunctive relief.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, USA.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes:

• We'll notify you by email and/or in-app notice
• Changes take effect 30 days after notice
• Continued use means you accept the new Terms

12. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy = our complete agreement
• Severability: If part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains valid
• No Waiver: Not enforcing a right doesn't mean we waive it
• Assignment: We can assign these Terms (e.g., if we're acquired). You can't.
